Jun 29 Change of Plans: Moving to Canada by Jennica

Well, we've settled into our lives in Pasadena nicely. Matthew has a job he really likes, we've made good friends, my studies are going well, and we get to spend quite a bit of time with Matthew's family in Fresno. Out of the blue, however, we found out about the opportunity for me to teach full-time at Bethany College. Now this is exactly the sort of job I'm getting the Ph.D. for, and the job description itself did not necessarily call for a Ph.D. Hmm. The short of it is I applied, we interviewed, they offered, and we accepted. So now it's official. We're moving to Hepburn, Saskatchewan.

Life will be very different than in Southern California. Matthew is figuring out what he will do and he will probably end up building something (car, home, a business, an internet service, etc.). We will both miss living close to Matthew's family and the friends we have made here. On the other hand, I'm really excited about my new job and we're going to be living a lot closer to my family. We're also upgrading from a one bedroom apartment to a five bedroom house for the same amount of rent. Now, all I need to do is come up with material for 3 classes...
