I sure have enjoyed being back in Calgary. Visiting family and camping with my sister were very special experiences for me. There's something very precious about good visits with people that have known you well for over ten years.

Elissa and I enjoyed some surprising events during our camping trip. We found an amazing campsite in the Rocky Mountains where we had a huge meadow all to ourselves. In the morning, two hummingbirds dove at us while we ate breakfast. I never knew hummingbirds could be so scary and enchanting at the same time. When we went swimming at Radium Hot Springs, the pool paint attached itself to our sunscreen and turned us blue! Fortunately, the paint came off relatively easily, but for a while we looked like someone used a roller on us. We've been camping in that area for over twenty years and it was nice to have new experiences in such familiar places.
