We hopped on a boat, jumped in a mini bus and made our way to the Phuket airport. The reasonably inexpensive tickets to the opposite end of the country were acquired in fifteen minutes and we were on our way to Chiang Mai thirty minutes later. No advanced planning was needed. We just happened to take a flying bus that saved us thirty hours. Why, oh why can’t air travel always be this simple? They are just selling transport after all.
