Jennica & Matthew Geddert's Ramblings

Thanksgiving

Oct 12 Thanksgiving by Jennica in Canada

It sure is nice to be home again. My aunt Liz from Prince George and cousin Jeremy from Calgary came out for Thanksgiving and the Winnipeg crew came out as well (brother, sister-in-law, nephew, sister, sister’s boyfriend). I hadn’t seen my nephew for almost two years and he’s grown so much! He’s using complete sentences and is learning to use a toilet already. The last time I saw him, he was only walking and saying “baby” and “kitty.” Time sure flies!

The peace and calm of being home with my parents is a helpful antidote to the stress of my upcoming test. It’s also been great to switch from travel food to a hot meal three times a day. The simple pleasure of drinking a cup of tea, hot chocolate, or apple cider any time is slowly becoming ordinary instead of a treat.
