Mar 2 We've arrived in a tropical post card by Matthew

We caught a very aptly named long-tail boat (the prop shaft is probably 2.5 meters off the back) to Hat Rai Leh and ended up getting a bungalow on Hat Ton Sai for $15 USD per night, replete with a nice front porch, the ground visible inside beneath the floor boards, a mosquito net for the bed, and a fan.

It is hot, humid and biting bugs are really annoying. But, we are on one of those beaches that are so idyllic one might forgive it such small flaws. Delicious dinner for two including fruity drinks costs about $9 USD. A burn rate of $35 USD per day sure is nice after Hong Kong.

Just two weeks ago it was -40 degrees outside… crazy!
